How to round the corners of an image

I am explaining the most easy method to round the corner of an image

Step 1: Open the image in photoshop

Step2:  Add a new layer  (press Shift+Ctrl+N) or select new from Layers menu (see picture below)

Step 3:  Select rounded rectangle tool from tool box

Step 4: Drag and draw the rounded rectangle above the image (exactly as we needed)

Step 5: In the layers window right click on the new layer (Layer 1) and choose Blending Options

Step 6: In the Advanced blending make Fill Opacity to zero

Step 7: In the Paths window right click on the shape1 vector Mask  choose the option "Make Selection"

Step 8:  From Edit menu select  "Copy Merged"

Step  8: Open a new file and paste it


Step 9: Save the new  file as PNG . See the  new image with the edges rounded in shape.
